De EMU Black is een toonaangevend, zelfstandig motormanagementsysteem, ontworpen om de meest geavanceerde en complexe motoren te bedienen die er zijn. Het is een opvolger van ons beproefde systeem, EMU. Gedurende de hele levensduur van EMU hebben we veel gegevens verzameld waarmee we de hardware en software van apparaten aanzienlijk kunnen verbeteren. EMU Black richt zich op raceauto's, straatauto's, motorfietsen, boten en stationaire motortoepassingen. De EMU Black regelt de brandstof-, ontstekings- en hulpsystemen op 1-12 cilindermotoren, inclusief motoren met drive-by-wire-gaskleppen en VVT. Hij kan maximaal 6 passieve of 12 slimme spoelen rechtstreeks aansturen en heeft hiervoor geen externe versterker/vermogensmodules nodig. Geavanceerde drive-by-wire-strategieën bieden een breed scala aan gasbediening, samen met geavanceerde plausibiliteitscontrole (fout/fout) voor de veiligheid. Gratis, eenvoudig te installeren firmware-upgrades verbeteren de systeemmogelijkheden verder (bijv. nieuwe strategieën, triggerpatronen, CAN-datastromen).

De EMU Black heeft meer ingebouwde waarde dan welke andere aftermarket-ECU dan ook. Het past gemakkelijk bij de functionaliteit van andere stand-alone beheersystemen met meerdere in- en uitgangen. In tegenstelling tot veel andere ECU-systemen heeft de EMU Black een ingebouwde breedband-lambda-ingang (Bosch LSU 4.2- en LSU 4.9-sensoren rechtstreeks aangesloten), MAP-besturingsconnector (4 bar MAP-sensor aan boord), 2 EGT-sonde-ingangen en een ingang voor sluit rechtstreeks een Flex Fuel ethanolgehaltesensor aan. Dit alles zorgt voor meer flexibiliteit, verlaagt de kosten en maakt de noodzaak voor externe of aanvullende signaalconditioneringscontrolesystemen en de bijbehorende bedrading die andere managementsystemen vereisen, overbodig.

TECHNOLOGY

The EMU Black is assembled according to IPC-S-815A standards to ensure high reliability of the product. The device is manufactured on an automated assembly line with optical inspection, automatically tested including burn-in. The PCB board quality and design, special surface coating and IP60 enclosure keeps the device operational in the harshest environments. The components used allow continued operation in a very wide temperature range (AECQ-100 GRADE 2 (-40 to +105˚C).
